It's fair to say there was pure chaos when pre-sale tickets for Peter Kay's tour went on sale. Last weekend, the comedian surprised fans by announcing he will be heading back out on the road - a whole 12 years after he last completed a stand-up tour.
Peter revealed the exciting news with an ad played during the launch episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. The Bolton-born star randomly popped up on-screen with a very special advert which saw Peter, 49, reveal to a neighbour that he was going back on tour while clinging onto a roll of carpet for his mum's house.
He even revealed during a chat with Zoe Ball on her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast show that he kept filming of the special ad local, and even borrowed said carpet from a local shop. Peter's huge new UK comedy tour, aptly titled the Better Late Than Never Tour, will open in just a matter of weeks, starting on home turf with two nights at Manchester's AO Arena.

He will appear live on stage in Manchester on December 2 and 3 before heading off across the county with dates all over the UK and Ireland announced for throughout 2023. The string of live show, which now includes a residency at London's 02 Arena, marks his first stand-up tour in 12 years.
And on Thursday (November 10) there was a scramble for tickets as 02 and Three customers were able to get early access to the tour. But many complained of issues trying to access the pre-sale with organisers for the highly-anticipated upcoming UK tour issuing an apology to customers.
The rest of the tickets for the tour, which now includes seven more dates at Manchester's AO Arena, will go on sale on Saturday 12th November at 10am. And it appears Paddy McGuinness may rejoin the battle to get to see his former Phoenix Night's co-star back on stage.
It comes after the Top Gear host tweeted on Thursday: "Afternoon. Man’s not got Peter Kay tickets. Have a lovely day." And he, as mentioned, wasn't alone. @MegaMike1983 replied: "Me either Patrick. Trying again at the weekend yeah?" @KatieMc58668074 joked: "I've downloaded Twitter just to try find a way to get some. If you're born in Bolton we should have automatic rights. He's ours."
Paddy's post comes after he took to Instagram to share how he was 'turning negatives into positives'. The presenter, who also starred with Peter in Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere, could be seen lifting weights in his home gym while shouting 'negatives' out load on each rep.
"Turning those negatives into positives," he posted in the caption on Instagram. "I like throwing a little set of the auld negatives in from time to time. Keeps it interesting." But as he was flooded with comments, some felt they needed to speak in defence of the presenter.
@ohnshackleton1989 wrote: "People on here talking form! Paddys got some heavy weights hes curling more than most of you have lifted in your lives probably! Keep it up lad!" @zoestewart_24 replied: "Here come the form police."
