Paddy McGuinness looked very different in the Nineties – if his latest social media picture is anything to go by.
The 49-year-old Top Gear host took to Instagram to post a throwback snap of himself as a younger man, complete with long hair.
It looked to be an early Nineties pic judging by his choice of outfit, which was baggy jeans and a shellsuit -style jacket.
Sharing the vintage photo with his two million followers, the comedian wrote: “Can a picture get more 90’s than this?”
In a reference to a Davidoff men’s cologne that was popular at the time, Paddy added: “I can smell the Cool Water!”

Fans were quick to comment on the post - with some saying Paddy looked like long-haired comic Micky Flanagan, while others said he reminded them of a character from Shameless.
“You look like the love child of Wonder Woman and Micky Flanagan,” one social media user joked.
Another commented: “Awesome shell suit look like an extra from Shameless pal.”
“Don’t know if I prefer the barnet or the gear,” a third fan said of Paddy’s strong Nineties look.
“Shell Suit City! Well, the boy did good in the end,” a fourth chimed in.
While a fifth showed a shared appreciation for Paddy’s choice of scent back in the day.
They wrote: “Omg I loved Cool Water lol. That tracky takes me wayyy back haha. I used to wear one like that.”
Paddy has kept a fairly low profile since his split from wife Christine McGuinness was announced in July.
The telly star was married to model Christine, 34, for 11 years and the couple share three children, twins Leo and Penelope, nine, and six-year-old Felicity.
Although their split was made public in the summer, it is thought they had been living separate lives for a while.
Their joint statement said: “We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but with the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify.
"A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus was, as always, is to continue loving and supporting our children."
The couple continued: "This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children.
"We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."
Christine is since rumoured to have landed her own reality TV show following her successful appearances on Real Housewives of Cheshire, The Games and The Real Full Monty.
Neither has been romantically linked with anyone else since they announced their break up.
