Paddy McGuinness in shock after his cat brings in a dead animal into his kitchen

Paddy McGuinness was horrified after his cat, Millie, casually brought a dead bird into the kitchen.

The Top Gear host filmed a short clip of the bird's lifeless body sitting on the floor under the dining table.

At one point, his cat pawed at the bird and briefly dragged it away. Blood could be seen on the floor.

"Oh Millie, what you done?" he said before his cat touched the bird. "No, no, no. For fu-".

He captioned the post: "Absolute stone cold savage!" along with the hashtags 'weekend, assassin, RIP tit, Saturday, Millie With A Willy, Murder She Wrote'.

Fans were equally as shocked and took to the comment section to share their thoughts on the classically feline situation.

"Another reason to never ever want a cat!" one user said along with an open-mouth emoji.

One follower shared their own experiences and said: "I have two cats, one catches birds and brings them back home, my other one brings me back leaves and litter."

"Poor bird [crying face emoji] but your cats just doing it’s job [clapping emojis]," one impressed user said.

Another added: "Poor bird! My cat has a habit of bringing mice in from the field."

Paddy only recently arrived back home after spending some time in Thailand filming.

As he was returning, he expressed his excitement about getting back home and even promised his family "cuddles" amid the concerns over his 11-year marriage to Christine.

His remark came in response to Christine sharing a photo on Instagram last week of herself and their kids Penelope, eight, Leo, eight, and Felicity, six, enjoying the sunshine.

Paddy responded to the photo - which showed his three children in a paddling pool with wife Christine nearby - by commenting: "Cuddles tomorrow [when I'm back]."

There's been speculation over the state of the marriage for a few weeks, with some concern sparked by his failure to 'publicly support' her whilst she was on ITV 's The Games.

She had previously said on Instagram amid the speculation surrounding her marriage: "There is only one thing I want to make clear right now... I didn't put us in this situation."

Speaking about her marriage to the Sun recently, she said: "I'm feeling really quite raw and all over the place. What I might have put up with in the past, I probably wouldn’t put up with now, and the same for him."
