Paddy McGuiness has felt the wrath of a Horticulture restaurant in Newcastle, who have issued a defiant response to the TV star's claim that hash browns don't belong on a breakfast. And their reply to Paddy has resulted in a tasty offer for customers to take advantage of.
Earlier this month, Take Me Out and I Can See Your Voice host Paddy took to Twitter to inform his many followers that he had picked up a takeaway breakfast when he was out and about, before splitting opinion with his disgust at their being a hash brown included with his meal.
Paddy uploaded a video of him voicing his disapproval for the favourite of many being present in his breakfast box, saying : "While I'm out and about this morning, got myself a breakfast in a box. "What's missing? What should be there? The dirty hash brown. Not a chance, shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a breakfast. Not on my watch. Get out."
Emphasising how unimpressed he was, he captioned the video: "No love for the hash browns here!"
Paddy's tweet got a huge reaction and now, Horticulture, rated as one of the best places for breakfast and brunch in Newcastle and a favourite of NUFC star Dan Burn, have given their verdict with a clear message for the comedian and an offer for customers - free hash browns!
"We at Horticulture firmly believe that Paddy McGuinness and those that think hash browns don’t belong on a full English breakfast are wrong! We surveyed our audience and it was 98% they belong and love them in their breakfasts!"
And confirming their deal, they added: "And we are doubling down and giving away free extra hash browns all week with all our Muckle Breakfasts!"
The free hash brown offer will run for this weekend and all of next week.
