Viewers were delighted when Paddington Bear enjoyed tea and marmalade sandwiches with Her Majesty the Queen.
However, the duffel-coated bear has since been subject to online scrutiny after an "unfamiliar teaspoon" appeared in the kitchen at 32 Windsor Gardens.
This London address is of course where Paddington lives with his adoptive family the Browns, and their housekeeper, Mrs Bird, after he is discovered at Paddington Station.
The suspicious teaspoon was first noted by Hugh Bonneville, who plays patriarch Henry Brown in both Paddington and Paddington 2 , with the actor tweeting at the adventurous young bear for clarification.

Bonneville, tweeted footage of Paddington and the Queen bonding over a shared love of marmalade during the Platinum Jubilee Party at the Palace.
Tagging the beloved bear, who has previously found himself framed for crimes he didn't commit, Bonneville wrote: "Hmm Paddington Bear, there's an unfamiliar teaspoon in the kitchen drawer at 32 Windsor Gardens... any ideas?"
As innocent as ever, Paddington denied all knowledge of the mystery spoon, replying: "I'm sorry I don't. Mrs Bird has suggested that you might like to ask Simon Farnaby."
Screenwriter and actor Farnaby, who played Barry the security guard in the Paddington films, stepped into the role of haughty Buckingham Palace footman for the recent Platinum Jubilee sketch.
The footman appears less than impressed with Paddington's table manners, with the clumsy bear sipping tea straight from the teapot spout and splashing cream all over the place.
Farnaby has yet to respond to what appears to be a subtle accusation on behalf of Mrs Bird. However, Paddington fans are loving the - quite literal - tea being spilled.
One person wrote: "Are you accusing Paddington Bear of theft? I'm sure her majesty gifted the spoon as a thank you for his wonderful company. Oh and hands off the spoon Mr Brown!"
Another said: "When you think the most iconic moment of the year was tea with the Queen, but then Mr Brown comes along and finds a spoon and Paddington responds. The plot of the third film gets richer."
