Packing hack fits ten-day summer holiday gear into Ryanair hand luggage

This genius packing hack fits ten days worth of summer holiday gear into just your Ryanair hand luggage.

With Ryanair now charging €20 each way for a 10kg cabin bag, we tried to see if we can go on a ten-day sun holiday with just our small personal bag, which must fit under the seat in front of you.

The small bag must be 40cm x 20cm x 25cm, so we decided to pack a school bag and opt for one piece outfits to cut down on the number of clothes and items.

Our biggest concern was the towel, but luckily we found a travel towel that folds nice and small - and it dries super quick.

On this trip, we’re bringing six dresses, two jumpsuits, one playsuit, three pairs of shorts, two sets of swimming suits, two sets of pyjamas, two tops, sandals, beach towel, a beach bag and liquids.

Oversized cabin baggage will be refused at the boarding gate, or where available, placed in the hold of the aircraft for a fee of €70.

If you are unsure whether your bag is the correct size, you can check it at the bag drop desk before you go through security, or you can buy priority and cabin bags which gives customers the opportunity to board the plane in the priority queue.

They can also carry their small personal bag and a 10kg wheelie bag (55cm x 40cm x 20cm) with them on board.

This will mean you won't need to wait for your bag at the terminal at the destination.

Meanwhile, if you pay to check-in a 10kg bag, it's the cheaper checked bag option.

Customers can also pack more liquids and walk to the boarding gate hands free.

They can check-in their 10kg wheelie bag at Ryanair’s bag drop desk before entering security.
