Packers WR Romeo Doubs will play vs. Cardinals in Week 6

Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that wide receiver Romeo Doubs will play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Doubs practiced all three days this week after skipping a pair of practices and being suspended for conduct detrimental to the team last week.

LaFleur said Doubs’ response to the suspension this week has been “great.”

“He’s done a nice job. He’s gone in, worked. Just done a great job,” LaFleur said Friday.

Doubs caught 12 passes on 20 targets for 169 yards through four games. Unhappy with his role or production in the passing game, Doubs skipped practices on Thursday and Friday last week, leading to the one-game suspension. He remained home while the Packers went to Los Angeles and beat the Rams last Sunday.

The Packers welcomed him back on Wednesday, and Doubs has participated fully through the week.

Offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich was happy with the way Doubs approached his return this week.

“This whole week, he’s been a professional, there’s been no warning signs or anything like that. He’s gone out, he’s had a good two days of practice so far, I expect him to have a really good practice tomorrow and we’re just going to move forward from there.”

It’s unclear if Doubs will resume a full-time role. Through the first four weeks, Doubs was on the field for roughly 81 percent of the offense’s snaps — leading the receivers. Christian Watson could return from an ankle injury on Sunday, and both Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks have been full-time players the last two weeks. The Packers also have Bo Melton and Malik Heath at receiver.
