Packers 0, Lions 0: Kerby Joseph interception

The Packers’ 13-play, 88-yard drive ended with a tipped interception in the end zone. Aaron Rodgers’ pass got batted into the air and ended up in a mass of Lions. This came after the Packers made a fourth-down stop in the red zone on the Lions first drive. Two drives, two scoring opportunities, zero points so far.

Packers 0, Lions 0: Aidan Hutchinson interception

Another trip into the red zone, another turnover in the end zone. On fourth down, Aaron Rodgers’ throw to David Bakhtiari on a trick play was intercepted by Aidan Hutchinson, the team’s top pick. The Packers have ended both drives with turnovers. So, who will score first?

Packers 0, Lions 0: Pass incomplete to Lazard on fourth down

Another productive drive for the Packers offense ended without points. On 4th-and-3 from the 38-yard line, Aaron Rodgers appeared to hit Allen Lazard for a 26-yard completion. The Lions challenged, however, and it was ruled an incomplete pass on review. Lazard had it knocked out of his hand as he was attempting to finish the play. The Packers have 206 yards on three drives but zero points.

Lions 8, Packers 0: Shane Zylstra 1-yard touchdown

After the Packers failed on fourth down, the Lions drove 61 yards in eight plays to score the first points of the game. Jaire Alexander’s 15-yard penalty for a late hit out of bounds helped spark the drive. A penalty on the extra point gave the Lions a chance to go for two, and Jamaal Williams converted. It’s 8-0 Lions through two quarters.

Lions 8, Packers 6: Allen Lazard 20-yard touchdown

The Packers are finally on the board. Aaron Rodgers threw a perfect ball to Lazard, who made the catch in traffic in the end zone for the 20-yard touchdown. The two-point conversion attempt failed. The scoring drive went 54 yards in seven plays. Can the Packers mount a comeback despite all the turnovers and injuries?

Lions 15, Packers 6: James Mitchell 3-yard touchdown

The Lions responded immediately to the Packers’ first score. The scoring drive went 70 yards in 13 plays and took over five minutes off the block, and the seven points provide the Lions with a 9-point lead with 14:51 left in the fourth quarter.

Lions 15, Packers 9: Mason Crosby 25-yard field goal

A marathon drive – lasting over eight minutes in the fourth quarter – led to a short field goal. The Packers drove 68 yards but couldn’t punch it in for a touchdown. The deficit for Green Bay is now six points with 6:36 left. Can the defense get a stop?

Final score: Lions 15, Packers 9

The Packers got a stop on fourth down and needed to go 57 yards in the two-minute drill to win the game, but Aaron Rodgers threw four straight incomplete passes from the 17-yard line and the Lions escaped with a six-point win.
