Packers upgrade QB Jordan Love to full participant at practice

Another box-checking moment in Jordan Love’s recovery from a sprained MCL in his left knee arrived Thursday when the Green Bay Packers upgraded him to a full participant at practice.

Love was limited on Wednesday after making his return to the field last Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. He revealed post-practice on Wednesday that he was back to taking his full slate of first-team practice reps.

On Thursday, he was listed as a full participant for the first time since the injury on Friday, Sept. 6 in Brazil.

The Packers play the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. There’s a good chance Love — who missed two games — will be removed completely from the final injury report Friday.

Love was one of four upgrades on the updated Thursday injury report. Cornerback Jaire Alexander, defensive lineman Kenny Clark and offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins all returned to practice in a limited capacity.

The one addition was receiver Romeo Doubs, who did not practice on Thursday due to a personal reason. Coach Matt LaFleur said the Packers are expecting Doubs to be available on Friday.

The Rams were once again without receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle). Defensive lineman Larrell Murchison did not practice Thursday after adding a new foot injury.

The Packers will practice again Friday before the final injury report arrives. Outside of Doubs, four other players didn’t practice for the Packers on Thursday: tight end Luke Musgrave, receiver Christian Watson, defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper. All four look increasingly unlikely to play Sunday.
