Packers to hold No. 23 overall pick in first round of 2025 NFL draft

The Minnesota Vikings’ loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night locked in the Green Bay Packers’ spot in the 2025 NFL draft order.

The Vikings, who won 14 regular-season games but lost in the Wild Card Round, will hold the No. 24 overall pick. The Packers, meanwhile, will have the No. 23 overall pick. The Packers and Vikings had the two best records (with strength of schedule tiebreaker for Packers over Chargers) among the six playoff losers in the first round.

The Packers will have the 23rd overall pick in each round of the 2025 draft, which is being hosted by Green Bay in April. The Packers also added a seventh-round pick by trading Preston Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers at the deadline.

The last time the Packers held the 23rd overall pick in the first round was 2010, when general manager Ted Thompson selected Iowa offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga before Green Bay went on to win the Super Bowl.

The final eight draft slots in the first round will be determined by the results of the remaining playoff games.
