Packers take off for Brazil on Wednesday morning

The Green Bay Packers departed Austin Straubel International Airport en route to Sao Paulo, Brazil on Wednesday morning.

The flight took off at 7:18 a.m. local time and will take over 10 hours to complete, with an expected local arriving time of 7:15 p.m. Fans can track the flight on FlightAware.

The Packers face the Philadelphia Eagles at Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo on Friday night for the first regular season game ever played in South America.

Coach Matt LaFleur said the long flight would provide players with a chance to catch up on sleep, watch tape of the Eagles and communicate with coaches.

The team provided photos of players and personnel leaving Lambeau Field and getting on the airplane on Wednesday morning here.
