Packers return LG Elgton Jenkins to practice on Tuesday

The Green Bay Packers made one big adjustment to the injury report on Tuesday: left guard Elgton Jenkins was listed as a limited participant after missing Monday’s practice with a knee injury.

Jenkins’ return to practice should be a good sign for his availability for Thursday’s showdown with the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.

It’s unclear who would play left guard if Jenkins was unable to go. Rookie fifth-round pick Jacob Monk is a possible option. First-round pick Jordan Morgan, who has played snaps at left and right guard this season, remains on injured reserve, and Kadeem Telfort, Andre Dillard and Travis Glover are more traditional offensive tackle types.

The Packers made two other adjustments to the injury report on Tuesday: tight end John FitzPatrick was upgraded to a full participant, while defensive end Arron Mosby was removed from the injury report altogether after clearing concussion protocol.

While Jenkins returned and appears to have a better chance of playing Thursday, the same can’t be said for Lions left tackle Taylor Decker. He missed practice again on Tuesday, and coach Dan Campbell doesn’t think he’ll be able to play Thursday.

Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (hamstring) and cornerback Corey Ballentine (knee) both missed practice for the second straight day. Cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) and receiver Romeo Doubs (concussion) were both limited.
