Packers QB Jordan Love, RB Josh Jacobs both ACTIVE vs. Lions

As expected, the Green Bay Packers have quarterback Jordan Love and running back Josh Jacobs available for Sunday’s showdown with the Detroit Lions. Both are active despite being listed as questionable on the final injury report of Week 9.

Love will play through a groin injury suffered in the first quarter last week in Jacksonville, while Jacobs is good to go despite getting hit 4-5 times on his ankle last week.

Both Love and Jacobs practiced in a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday this week.

The Packers will have 10 of 11 starters available on offense against the Lions, the current division leaders. Only center Josh Myers, who has a wrist injury, isn’t active for Sunday’s showdown.

Love will attempt to play through wet and potentially slippery conditions at Lambeau Field. Last week, he played through the groin injury for two quarters but had to exit early in the third quarter.

With rain and wind expected for most of the game, Jacobs — who is among the league leaders in rushing yards and touches — will likely get a heavy workload against the Lions.

Cornerback Jaire Alexander and safety Evan Williams are both inactive for the Packers secondary, so Love and the offense might need to score a bunch of points to win Sunday.

The Packers and Lions will kick off from Lambeau Field at 3:25 p.m. CST.
