Packers QB Jordan Love confident he’ll play vs. Eagles in NFC Wild Card Round

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love said he lost feeling in his throwing hand after taking a hit to his elbow during Sunday’s season finale loss to the Chicago Bears, but he’s confident he’ll be ready to go for the NFC Wild Card Round against the Philadelphia Eagles next weekend.

“I landed on it, on the ground, lost all feeling in my hand, just went numb,” Love said after the 23-22 loss to the Bears at Lambeau Field.

Love fell on his right arm while attempting to get rid of the football on a drive in the second quarter. He was seen shaking his hand immediately following the play.

Love said he was struggling to get feeling back in his pinky. The Packers pulled him from the game following the injury and Love never returned.

Love said he was starting to feel better post-game and gave a simple answer when asked if he would play against the Eagles.

“Yes.”

Love said he was told by the medical staff that the feeling in his hand would only get better and better in the coming days.

The Packers will need Love — who has dealt with three different injuries during the 2024 season — at his best to take down the Eagles in Philadelphia during the first round of the NFC playoffs.

Before the injury, Love completed 7 of 12 passes for 69 yards. Malik Willis played the rest of the way, completing 10 of 13 passes for 136 yards.
