The Green Bay Packers are projected to receive a single seventh-round compensatory pick in the 2025 draft, according to calculations from Nick Korte of Over the Cap.
The Packers lost offensive lineman Jon Runyan and safety Darnell Savage to qualifying deals in free agency but also signed safety Xavier McKinney and running back Josh Jacobs, cancelling out the picks. Per Korte, the seventh-round pick projected to the Packers is from losing offensive tackle Yosh Nijman.
The Giants are projected to gain a fourth-round compensatory pick as a result of losing McKinney, who ended up as a first-team All-Pro. The Raiders cancelled out losing Jacobs — a Pro Bowler in Green Bay — by signing Gardner Minshew and Christian Wilkins.
Last year, the Packers received three compensatory draft picks after losing Allen Lazard, Jarran Reed and Dean Lowry in free agency.
If the Packers get the one compensatory pick as projected, the team will have their original pick in each of the first six rounds, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ seventh-round pick (via Preston Smith trade) and the compensatory seventh-round pick.
The Packers have received 52 compensatory draft picks since the start of the program in 1994, which ranks third among NFL teams. Only the Ravens (56) and Cowboys (54) have received more.
