Packers’ Matt LaFleur Had Such an Awkward Run-In With Security Guard During Win Over Lions

The Packers picked up a big 29-22 victory over the Lions on Thanksgiving, which was carried by Green Bay’s 23-6 advantage in the first half. While Green Bay was able to solve Detroit’s defense, coach Matt LaFleur had a tougher time dealing with security at the game.

As LaFleur was running off the field at halftime, the Packers coach ran into a security guard on the field. LaFleur appeared to be upset over the guard standing in his way, and he explained why to Fox’s Tom Rinaldi.

“He said, ‘That’s never happened to me ever in my coaching career,’” Rinaldi reported after speaking with LaFleur. “‘I was fully committed and I wasn’t going to be stopped.’”

LaFleur must’ve been fired up to be leading by two touchdowns against the NFC North division leaders, and that was before this run-in with security. The Packers offense stayed hot in the second half, scoring another touchdown to cement their win.

Green Bay is now 5-6 on the season and very much in play in the NFC playoff picture thanks to an explosive performance by its offense.
