Packers host visit for free agent TE Alize Mack

The Green Bay Packers had a draft pick from the 2019 draft in town on Monday. The team reported an official visit for tight end Alize Mack on Tuesday’s transaction wire.

The Packers also worked out Mack in December. He could be signed to a futures contract.

Mack, 24, was a seventh-round pick of the New Orleans Saints in 2019. He’s spent time with the Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions over the last three seasons.

He was with the Lions’ practice squad in 2021.

The 6-4, 249-pound tight end is an elite athlete. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.74 seconds, hit 36″ in the vertical leap, finished the three-cone drill in 7.27 seconds and completed 22 reps in the bench press at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine.

Mack has not appeared in an NFL regular-season game.

Over three seasons at Notre Dame, Mack caught 68 passes for 716 yards and four touchdowns. He hauled in 36 passes for 380 yards and three touchdowns during his final collegiate season.
