The Arizona Cardinals did not make the postseason, so their fans get to watch the playoffs with no true rooting interest. However, there are some Cardinals-related reasons to watch because every team left in the postseason has soon-to-be free agents and some could end up offseason targets for Arizona.
The Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles play the second of three playoff games on Sunday.
Below are some players on Green Bay’s roster scheduled to be free agents who could be potential targets for some of the Cardinals’ offseason needs.
Potentials Cardinals free agent targets on Packers
LB Isaiah McDuffie
The Cardinals will need a new starting inside linebacker if Kyzir White departs. McDuffie started every game for the Packers this season and had a career-high 97 tackles, half a sack, a forced fumble and three pass breakups.
CB Corey Ballentine
Ballentine might be exactly what the Cardinals need at cornerback. He has starting experience but also has extensive backup and special teams experience. If the Cardinals are pleased with starting Sean Murphy-Bunting, Max Melton and Garrett Williams, then Ballentine could come and compete and either start or be a solid depth and special teams option.
OT Andre Dillard
Dillard is a former first-round pick. He could be a backup swing tackle that the Cardinals will need if they don’t bring Kelvin Beachum back.
S Zayne Anderson
Anderson plays a ton on special teams and could be a guy the Cardinals target if Joey Blount doesn’t return.
