The Green Bay Packers gave injury designations to seven players on the final injury report of Week 9 on Friday.
The two players ruled out for Sunday against the Detroit Lions:
– Linebacker De’Vondre Campbell (knee)
– Cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles (ankle)
Second-year linebacker Isaiah McDuffie will be expected to make his first start in place of Campbell, who left last Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills with a knee injury and then missed all three practices this week. Jean-Charles, a core special teams player, will miss his second-straight game with an ankle injury suffered in Week 7.
The five players questionable to play:
– WR Allen Lazard (shoulder)
– WR Christian Watson (concussion)
– OLB Preston Smith (shoulder/neck)
– LT David Bakhtiari (knee)
– LG Elgton Jenkins (knee/foot)
Lazard practiced in a limited capacity all three days, but he’ll be a game-time decision on Sunday. Watson, who practiced on Thursday and Friday, is still needing to clear the final hurdles within the concussion protocol. Smith was limited all week but still practiced. Bakhtiari is likely to carry the “questionable” labeling each week the rest of the way, while Jenkins – who missed last week – is still recovering from a new foot injury.
Inactives will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday.
The Lions ruled out four players (CB Chase Lucas, S Ifeatu Melifonwu, T Matt Nelson, CB A.J. Parker) and listed one as doubtful (WR Josh Reynolds) and four as questionable (OT Taylor Decker, DE Charles Harris, RB De’Andre Swift, TE Brock Wright).
