The Green Bay Packers will be without cornerback Jaire Alexander for the second consecutive week. Alexander, who is dealing with a groin injury, is inactive for Sunday’s Week 5 showdown with the Los Angeles Rams.
According to Tracy Wolfson of CBS, Alexander is hopeful to be back next week.
Along with Alexander, the Packers made defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt, receiver Christian Watson and first-round pick Jordan Morgan inactive for Sunday.
The Packers inactives for Week 5:
DL Devonte Wyatt
CB Jaire Alexander
WR Christian Watson
OL Jordan Morgan
DE Brenton Cox Jr.
OL Travis Glover
There is good news. Offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins, cornerback Carrington Valentine, tight end Luke Musgrave and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper are all active despite being listed as questionable.
With Alexander out, Valentine could be a starter opposite Eric Stokes at cornerback. At receiver, the Packers won’t have Watson or Romeo Doubs, who was suspended one game, leaving Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Bo Melton and Malik Heath as the four active receivers.
Morgan, who reinjured his shoulder in Week 2, will miss his third straight game. Cox and Glover are healthy scratches.
The Packers and Rams will kick off from SoFi Stadium at 3:25 p.m. CT.
