Green Bay Packers center Josh Myers had an air cast placed on his leg and was carted off the field with a potentially serious lower leg injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Left guard Kadeem Telfort appeared to fall into Myers’ leg while attempting to make a block, creating the injury. Quarterback Jordan Love was sacked on the play.
The timing couldn’t be worse. Myers, a second-round pick of the Packers in 2021, is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent when his rookie contract expires this coming offseason.
Myers started 16 of 17 games for the Packers during the 2024 season and 56 total games over his first four seasons, including full 17-game seasons in 2022 and 2023.
Without Myers and left guard Elgton Jenkins, who left with a shoulder injury in the first half, the Packers moved Sean Rhyan from right guard to center and inserted Travis Glover at right guard.
Myers, who turns 27 years old in July, was the 62nd overall pick in the 2021 draft.
