The Green Bay Packers updated their Week 1 injury report before heading to Brazil on Wednesday. The team added tight end Tucker Kraft to the injury report with a back injury and upgraded rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd to limited.
The Packers won’t practice on Wednesday while spending over 10 hours in the air on the way to Sao Paulo, so all participant reports are estimated.
Kraft was estimated as a limited participant. Lloyd, who is recovering from a hamstring injury, was upgraded from a non-participant on Tuesday to limited on Wednesday.
It’s unclear if Kraft’s injury will put his playing availability in danger for Friday night. He suffered a pectoral muscle injury and needed surgery this offseason, but he returned and was excellent during the final few weeks of training camp. The Packers have only three tight ends on the 53-man roster: Kraft, Luke Musgrave and Ben Sims.
Lloyd got a planned day off on Tuesday and would have practiced had the Packers been on the field Wednesday, suggesting he still has a chance to play Friday. The rookie running back hasn’t played since injuring his hamstring in the preseason opener on Aug. 10.
The Packers also estimated receiver Romeo Doubs (hand), linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (hip), cornerback Carrington Valentine (hamstring) and running back Emanuel Wilson (hip) as limited participants, same as Tuesday.
The Eagles, meanwhile, ruled out linebacker Devin White with an ankle injury. He is not traveling with the team to Brazil. Rookie Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Nakobe Dean are listed as the top backups at linebacker for the Eagles.
The Packers will be without defensive end Arron Mosby, who is not traveling with the team to Brazil because of a personal matter. As the fifth or sixth defensive end on the 53-man roster, Mosby was an inactive candidate entering Week 1.
The Packers and Eagles will release a final injury report with official playing status designations on Thursday.
