The Green Bay Packers used three touchdown passes from Jordan Love, a stifling defensive effort against C.J. Stroud and a game-winning field goal from kicker Brandon McManus as time expired to overcome three turnovers and a big performance from Joe Mixon during Sunday’s 24-22 win over the Houston Texans at Lambeau Field.
Love threw two intereptions, and three total giveaways from the Packers led to 16 points for the Texans. But Love also threw a go-ahead touchdown pass to Josh Jacobs in the second half and then drove the Packers 44 yards to set up McManus’ game-winner with no time remaining.
The 24-22 win over the Texans improved the Packers’ record to 5-2 after seven games. Green Bay has won three straight games and five of the last six after losing the season opener in Brazil.
