He is claimed as a target for Rangers - but Barcelona prospect Pablo Torre seemingly has plenty of options on his hands for a Camp Nou exit.
The Premiership side had a link to the 20-year-old when he was at former club Racing Santander but he instead opted for Catalonia. His minutes have been limited under Xavi and Spanish media have linked Rangers as being one club interested in his services, but further reports claim it's far from just Rangers who are after him.
According to Sport, the management of Torre with Barca is 'one of the most complicated that sports management has on the table' and that they will find a loan club for him next season. Several La Liga clubs are said to be interested in the midfielder, including Villarreal, Osasuna, Celta Vigo and Almería. Another report though claims there are a further two options to leave Spain for Torre.
In Gol's report, they suggest Dutch giants Ajax and Belgian side Club Brugge also want him. However, they state that 'within FC Barcelona there are two very different ideas with Pablo Torre.'
Those are that president Joan Laporta 'conditions the economy a lot and prefers an option that allows the player to save his token.' Meanwhile, manager Xavi would hope 'the transfer of Pablo Torre should help him acquire important minutes and return to FC Barcelona with full guarantees of adapting to the rhythm of the first team.'
There is some uncertainty as the transfer window approaches at Rangers. Sporting director Ross Wilson has left for Nottingham Forest after first arriving at Ibrox in the autumn of 2019.
