Journalist P. Sainath will deliver the Late Dr.Shanthinath Desai Memorial Endowment Lecture on the Kuvempu University campus at Shankaraghatta in Shivamogga district on Friday.
The Department of Post-Graduate Studies and Research in English has organised the event. Mr. Sainath, recipient of Ramon Magsaysay and Japan’s Fukuoka Grand Prize, will deliver a talk on “Journalism in India: Where We are 200 Years On”.
B.P. Veerabhadrappa, Vice-Chancellor of the university, will preside over the function to be held at Basava Sabha Bhavana at 1 p.m., said a press release issued by the university.
