Ozzy Osbourne to have surgery that will 'determine the rest of his life' says wife Sharon

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne is set to undergo surgery that will "determine the rest of his life", his wife Sharon has said. The Black Sabbath front man, who is 73, will have a procedure in Los Angeles, she said.

Sharon was speaking to Talk TV when she made the announcement. The former X-Factor judge will fly out to the USA to be with her husband of 40 years, reports BirminghamLive.

Sharon offered no further details. Ozzy has recently had Covid and is also recovering from a major fall.

He told Classic Rock magazine last month: “I can’t walk properly these days. I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road.”

In 2020 he announced a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. “I’m not dying from Parkinson’s. I’ve been working with it most of my life,” he said.

Sharon, meanwhile, has said she hopes Johnny Depp and Amber Heard can both move on from their court case. She told Lorraine Kelly on her ITV morning show: "Its very very ugly, for both of them.

"Listen, what goes on at home between two people, nobody knows, all the ugly details. We all have our ugliness in our relationships but theirs was extreme - hopefully they can move on."

She also reflected on Ozzy's bout of Covid. She said: "We called it the 'House of Covid' because Kelly's boyfriend had it, Kelly, Ozzy, then I got it, and then Ozzy's nurse got it, so we were all closed-door. I love him more now than ever, I respect him. We all change constantly, constantly evolving, and he's evolved into a really great guy, he's a good guy."
