Kelly Osbourne stood on stage at the BRIT Awards on Saturday night, accepting a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award for her late father Ozzy Osbourne. By Sunday morning, the conversation had shifted entirely from his legacy to the shape of her face.
The 41-year-old has now fired back at what she described as a 'special kind of cruelty' after her appearance at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester on 28 February triggered a fresh wave of body-shaming comments online. Users accused her of taking Ozempic. Others picked apart her cheekbones. One compared her to a corpse, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
'I'm currently going through the hardest time in my life,' Osbourne wrote on Instagram Stories. Her father, the former Black Sabbath frontman, died on 22 July 2025 at the age of 76.
Three Months Of The Same Accusations
The BRITs backlash was not the first round. Five days earlier, Osbourne posted photographs from a Royal Ascot Millinery Collective event during London Fashion Week. She wore a sheer polka dot dress. The comments section turned hostile almost immediately.
One user wrote that she looked 'like a dead body' and was 'tooooo thin and fragile.' Another told her to 'ditch the Ozempic, eat a burger.' Osbourne screenshotted the remarks and shared them on Instagram Stories. 'Literally can't believe how disgusting some human beings truly are,' she wrote, according to Fox News.
It marked the third time in roughly three months she had been forced to publicly address the same claims. Back in December 2025, Osbourne posted a video aimed squarely at the trolls. 'My dad just died, and I'm doing the best that I can,' she said. 'The only thing I have to live for right now is my family.' She signed off, telling her critics to 'f--- off.'
Sharon Osbourne also stepped in. During an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored shortly after Ozzy's death, she told the host that her daughter 'can't eat right now' and dismissed the trolling as 'a shield for people that are unhappy,' The List reported.
What Kelly Osbourne Has Actually Said About Her Weight Loss
Osbourne has flatly denied using Ozempic on multiple occasions. In a 2025 interview with Extra, she was direct: 'I know everybody thinks I took Ozempic. I did not take Ozempic. My mom took Ozempic,' The List noted.
Her weight has fluctuated significantly over the years. She underwent gastric sleeve surgery in 2018 and lost roughly 85 pounds. Then came her 2022 pregnancy with son Sidney, during which she gained approximately 100 pounds after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes. That condition prompted strict dietary changes, including cutting sugar entirely. She has also acknowledged using non-surgical contouring treatments such as EmFace and EmSculpt Neo, and attributed the visible changes in her facial structure to buccal fat loss that accompanied the weight reduction.
Ozzy Osbourne Honoured With All-Star BRIT Awards Tribute
The ceremony itself centred on Ozzy. Sharon delivered an emotional speech about his 56-year career, telling the audience he 'came from a small working-class neighbourhood in Birmingham' and never stopped pushing himself. Kelly said simply: 'Thank you for loving my father as much as we do,' before shouting out Birmingham and drawing a few good-natured boos from the Manchester crowd, Loudwire reported.
She wore a floor-length black feathered gown and a cross necklace, widely interpreted as a tribute to her father. The evening closed with Robbie Williams leading a performance of Ozzy's 1991 track 'No More Tears' alongside Zakk Wylde, Metallica's Robert Trujillo, keyboardist Adam Wakeman, and drummer Tommy Clufetos.
Ozzy is survived by his wife Sharon and children Kelly, Jack, Aimee, Jessica, Louis and adopted son Elliot. Osbourne has not spoken further since her Instagram Stories post. She has previously said she chooses to 'share the happy side of my life, not the miserable side' with her followers.
