The owner of Albert's Schloss and Rudy's Pizza in Manchester has hailed its recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic as its takings surged past pre-pandemic levels.
Mission Mars has reported that Albert's Schloss in Manchester achieved a revenue of £6.9m in the six months to the end of March 2022, a like-for-like increase of 15.7% on the same time in 2019.
Rudy's Pizza, which also has sites in Sheffield, Warrington, London, Liverpool and Leeds, delivered a revenue of £7.3m, compared to £2.8m pre-pandemic.

The new figures for Mission Mars, which is backed by private equity firm BGF, have been revealed in newly-published accounts for the company's financial year to September 26, 2021.
They show its revenue dropped from £21.5m to £15.5m in the year because of the impact of the Covid-19 restrictions while its pre-tax losses were cut from £1.7m to £726,281.
Mission Mars also owns Zumhof in Birmingham, Albert's Schenke in Liverpool and Manchester's Albert Hall.
The group opened an Albert's Schloss in Birmingham in December 2021 while another site in Liverpool is expected to open in November 2022.
The group previously owned venues The Deaf Institute and Gorilla in Manchester as well as the Flying Pig and Lobster pubs. Trof NQ was also sold in December 2021.
A statement signed off by the board said: "FY21 has very much been a tale of two halves with the first six months severely impacted by Covid-19 and the restrictions imposed on the group resulting in an operating loss for the period.
"The second half of the year allowed the group to emerge from restrictions to levels of demand not seen for nearly 18 months and bridge a significant proportion of the losses incurred year to date."
It added: "The pandemic not only brought challenges, but some opportunities that have helped us to further develop our long-term strategy.
"The additional delivery revenue stream to Rudy's Pizza has now become a core part of the business.
"This has helped us to drive a more efficient operation and support revenue and profit growth throughout the year.
"The pandemic allowed us to focus a significant amount of time on our people and revisit our policies to ensure colleague wellbeing is at the forefront of our business."
