The owner of a Springer Spaniel faces a bill of at least £5,000 after their dog was diagnosed with lymphoma.
A crowdfunder has since been set up in an effort to help Derry resident Fiona Garrett afford the treatment needed.
Three-year-old Buzz was diagnosed with cancer last month, and as it can’t be operated on, he is having to see a specialist oncologist weekly for chemotherapy treatment in Belfast.

Sadly, Buzz will never be cured of the disease but it is hoped that through the treatment Buzz's life could be extended through remission for a few months or hopefully years.
Fiona said she began to worry when she noticed that 'her baby' began to lose weight rapidly over the summer. She said: "Buzz is the most energetic, full-of-life spaniel and he is also very affectionate.
"Buzz started to lose weight the last few months and when we took him to the vet they ran some tests and confirmed he had cancer. The vet examined him and told us there was a large tumour in his stomach.
"He is insured so we claimed through insurance so he could see an oncologist vet, they ran more tests and it was then confirmed he had lymphoma in most of his organs.
"We had it confirmed that it is B Cell Lymphoma so we have decided as Buzz is still so young and full of life to give him the best chance to fight this."
She continued: "He will never be cured of this cancer but if we can get him through to remission for a few months or hopefully years this would be amazing.
"Although insured Buzz was only covered for £1,000 per condition so that has already gone on the tests. I have saved £2,000 but I am unable to raise the remaining funds myself, his treatment vet is 160-mile round trip so any spare cash will be going on diesel to get him there weekly.
"Buzz is my baby, he isn't just a pet to me, he helps me with my anxiety and keeps me right, that's why it's so important to me. Thank you and anything you can spare will go a long way."
