Owen Warner filmed Hollyoaks scene in Australia hours after I'm A Celeb exit

Owen Warner secretly filmed a scene for Hollyoaks moments after I'm A Celebrity wrapped.

The soap star joined 11 other famous faces Down Under for this year's series of the ITV jungle show and he made it all the way to the final, with Lioness Jill Scott taking the crown. Owen said it was a whirlwind after the show, but he quickly returned to work - before he even made it home from Australia as he was pulled aside to film a scene for the Channel 4 soap.

Owen plays Romeo Nightingale on Hollyoaks and it wasn't long until he was back at work.

Speaking on This Morning today, Owen revealed: "After you leave the jungle, your head is scrambled. Your head is all fuzzy. You don't know what's going on, you're carted here and there. Real life was too much, I was not ready for it.

"I got taken downstairs and they gave me a script and they were like, right learn this. I was there doing a FaceTime and it took me some time to learn it and I was like what is going on, I'm losing it."

Speaking recently, Owen said: " It's been crazy! Even to the point where I was in the top with Jill [Scott]- my mind couldn't comprehend there was all this support, all this love, I just never in a million years thought it was be like this. And then coming out I had to take a little while to turn my phone on because just hearing people saying things was just a lot and I was just crying all the time.

"So many times, as soon as I got out, I took myself off and, I'm going to say it, had a just a little cry at how amazing it was. I love kind people and beautiful words and there was so much of that."

He admitted there were times he wanted to leave the show as he "didn't know what he had to offer".

"Yeah, there were a few times when I thought 'what am i doing here' with so many amazing people talking about their careers and I didn't know what I had to offer," he added of his feelings about being in the jungle with a string of huge names.
