Owen Hargreaves shares Cristiano Ronaldo concern Manchester United fans will agree with

Owen Hargreaves admits he is concerned where Manchester United would be without Cristiano Ronaldo. Into the twilight of his career, the Portugal captain saved United yet again to revive their top-four hopes with a devastating hat-trick against Norwich on Saturday afternoon.

Ronaldo opened the scoring on seven minutes after combining with Anthony Elanga and made it 2-0 after United had watched fellow Champions League contenders Tottenham slip to defeat in the early kick-off against Brighton. However, there was an alarming fight-back from the Canaries.

Only that man Ronaldo conjured up more late heroics to settle the scores courtesy of his swerving free-kick. Kieran Dowell and Teemu Pukki were on target for Norwich.

Arsenal were beaten, meanwhile, as three points separate Tottenham, the Gunners and United with six matches to play - although Arsenal do have a game in hand. However, momentum is back with the Old Trafford giants and they, predictably, have 37-year-old Ronaldo to thank.

Speaking to Premier League Productions, former United man turned pundit Hargreaves said: "People say Cristiano Ronaldo is the problem for Man United. How can he be the problem? He's the only reason they are anywhere near the top four. He gets the job done and he's huge in big moments."

Hargreaves added: "United fans will know if you get the ball down and play you will cause them problems, as they are so poor out of possession. Teemu Pukki had a really good finish, but it's so easy for him. It's like a training game. The difference between United and City or Liverpool is that everyone works for them."
