Overnight roadworks will see four-way traffic light system in place on A77 stretch in Ayrshire

Overnight road works will see a four-way traffic light system in place along a stretch of the A77, starting tonight.

Four nights of essential works will take place on the A77 at Doonholm Road from Thursday, January 19 until Monday, January 23, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each night.

The work will be carried out using four-way temporary traffic lights installed at the A77/ Doonholm Road/ Corton Road junction.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential ground investigations as part of future strategic road safety improvements.

The construction firm thank road users for their co-operation and patience while these essential works take place.

All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
