Over £3,000 raised for family of 'kind and genuine' Leeds man killed in bike crash

Thousands of pounds have been raised to support the family of a Leeds man who died in a horrific motorbike accident in Seacroft.

Paul Beese was on a motorbike that was involved in a crash with a van on Easterly Road and Boggart Hill Drive around 6.48am on Tuesday, December 13.

The 51-year-old suffered catastrophic injuries and sadly, died in the hospital.

In tributes, he was described as “a nice, kind and genuine person” who will be missed by all who knew him.

A GoFundMe page was set up to raise £1,000 to support his family but donations have exceeded the target.

The bio in the fundraiser reads: “Paul was a very good friend of mine and had a heart of gold, never passing up on a chance to help others.

“It is with great sadness that I ask if people could take a moment to donate and help Pauls's family in this dark time.

“Details on his funeral service will be updated as things proceed”

Donors have also paid tribute to the “gentle soul”. Mark Greenhead said: “I promised to take care of you Paul and I hope this helps Joshua will have me to fall back on I promise bro I love you and will always miss you Words can’t describe I hope your at peace up there and with your mum Love you bro”

Kealey Ledger said: “RIP Paul... what a gentle soul and all round great guy will be missed by many.”

Dave Dewar added: “Paul was a great human being and such a sad loss to all.”
