Jesse Marsch will be missing from the touchline when Nottingham Forest take on Leeds United on Monday evening having been sent off in his side’s 5-2 Premier League defeat at Brentford.
But Chris Sutton for one believes the American was justified in the rage he felt after Leeds were denied what appeared a clear penalty at the Brentford Community Stadium.
Crysencio Summerville was dragged to the floor by Brentford’s Aaron Hickey but neither the referee Robert Jones or VAR looked at the incident.

Marsch was incensed, with the non-award adding more fuel to the fire after Brentford were given a penalty in the first half. The Whites head coach was shown a red card for his actions in the aftermath.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, former Blackburn striker Sutton slammed VAR for a "lack of consistency" but also called on Marsch to show more restraint on the sidelines.
"In Brentford against Leeds, Ivan Toney won a penalty when referee Robert Jones was told by VAR David Coote that there was a foul by Luis Sinisterra. He was right - there had been and this was a worthy spot-kick.
"But then when Leeds’ Crysencio Summerville was dragged down by Brentford’s Aaron Hickey in the second half, nothing happened. No VAR intervention. No visit to the monitor for Jones.
"I’m not one of those who subscribe to the idea that ex-players should be involved in VAR. You don’t have to have played the game to understand it, but this smacked of a lack of consistency.
"That’s frustrating and it’s no wonder Jesse Marsch was outraged, albeit that the Leeds boss can take it too far with his technical area antics."
