Outnumbered fans were delighted when it was revealed that Claire Skinner and Hugh Dennis, aka mum Sue and dad Pete, are together.
And Claire, 54, has now broken her silence on their romance, calling it a "lovely surprise".
She was on ITV's Lorraine on Thursday when host Lorraine Kelly mentioned their relationship and she confirmed they are still going strong.
Claire said: "We are [together], it's a lovely little life surprise isn't it? It's a lovely thing."
She split from Charles Palmer two-and-a-half years ago after marrying in 2001, while Hugh broke up with his second wife, Kate Abbot-Anderson, in 2015.

Claire is mum to William, 20, and Henry, 17, and Hugh has two children with estranged wife Kate – Freddie, 22, and Meg, 20.
Hugh, 57, confirmed their relationship with Claire to the Mail, saying: "I am very, very happy, we are so very happy. It’s nice and yes, it's so lovely."
They are reported to be living together in London.

On Lorraine Claire also spoke about how they would work together.
She explained that the young actors who played the outlandish Brockman children were in full control on set.
Claire said: "Everything was based around those kids so our whole day revolved around what they were able to do and that's how you do it.

"You cater towards the kids and they will give so much if you're kind to them and gentle with them."
She and Hugh would let Tyger Drew-Honey (Jake), Daniel Roche (Ben) and Ramona Marquez (Karen) take the lead.
Claire explained: "Hugh and I had to sort of take a back seat and let them go and then when they'd go home we'd do the more nuts and bolts stuff."
