Outlander-themed farmhouse offers fans ideal stay in Scotland

Ever fancy staying in your very own Lallybroch? Well, you now can.

Though Midhope Castle, which doubles as Jamie Fraser's home in Outlander, is actually an empty shell, there might just be an alternative.

Avid Outlander fanatic, Jennifer Azzopardi née Meldrum, has created her very own version of the 'lazy tower' and she's inviting fellow fans to come stay in it, according to the Daily Express.

Her Outlander-themed farmhouse is an impressive five-bedroom house on the Kersebonny Carse just outside Stirling.

Each bedroom within the property represents a clan, giving you the opportunity to stay in Fraser, MacKenzie, Ferguson, Wallace and Campbell.

On AirBnB where the property is listed, it is described as a fully fitted farmhouse kitchen has everything needed for a comfortable stay.

With views of Stirling Castle you'll feel immersed in Scottish history.

Owner Jenny told the Express, it was Jamie's family home in the show that inspired her to name the farmhouse.

She said: "I purchased the farmhouse and I wanted to give it a really cool name and I was just absolutely crazy about Outlander, and then when Jamie went to his family home it was called Lallybroch and I thought oh my god what a fantastic name!

"I have lived in Malta for 34 years, I used to get very homesick and wanted a base in Stirling, especially with something in the countryside with views of the Wallace Monument and castle.

"There are five bedrooms in the property and I had to name the bedrooms or people would get confused, so I called them Fraser, MacKenzie, Ferguson, Wallace and Campbell

"My love for Outlander inspired the names of the rooms, especially because quite a bit of Outlander was filmed quite close by to the farmhouse in the countryside."

Visitors of the property described their stay as 'marvellous' and 'wonderful'.

One review on Air BnB left by Christina said: "Amazing place to stay. Very clean, well equipped, had everything needed. Would definitely stay again."

With one visitor, William added: "Great for large groups, we had 6 adults and 2 children and found it roomy with plenty of toilets and bathrooms."
