Outlander fans have once again been targeted by fake social media accounts pretending to be a representative of Sam Heughan.
Fan favourite Davie 'Hollywood' Stewart is Scots actor Sam's driver and has worked on the set of the time-travel drama since it first began in 2014.
He regularly delights followers by sharing throwback snaps and sneak peeks from filming across Scotland.
But today he's taken a more serious tone, and has warned of a fake account using his picture and pretending to be Sam's manager.
Sharing the profile with the bio reading 'manager to actor Sam Heughan' Davie wrote: "This is not me."
Fans took to the comments to say they are continuously reporting fake pages pretending to be Balmaclellan-born Sam, or someone close to him.
One said: "I swear I spend a large part of my day reporting Sam Spam."
Another wrote: "Oh wow - it just goes on and on - and people fall for it.
While one said: "This is constant. You must get fed up of it happening. You can't control it though."
This is not the first time Outlander fans have been targeted by online con artists.
Sam, who plays Jamie Fraser in the hit Starz show, previously warned fans of catfish scammers who were asking fans for money online.
The 42-year-old hit out at trolls pretending to be him on various social media platforms including Twitter, instagram and WhatsApp.
The star urged fans to be careful online and said he would 'never ask for money' or reach out to people on messages.
Sharing a post on his Instagram stories, Sam wrote: "Please be careful on social media. So many scammers.
"I will never reach out or message on Instagram/Twitter/Whatsapp/Google hangout/etc or ask for money.
"If it's not verified it's not me."
In the last few years, multiple women have been tricked into thinking they were speaking to the actor, with one particular fan losing her life savings.
A 56-year-old nurse from Florida, Stephanie, told how she too handed over cash – £36,500
The mum thought she had been in an online relationship with Heughan since 2018.
Another woman was duped into sending £34,000 after being told the money would be invested in Heughan’s whisky brand Sassenach Spirits.
Sam has spoken out about the trolls numerous times after he received death threats which were affecting his life and his mental state.
He said: "After the past 6 years of constant bullying, harassment, stalking and false narrative I am at a loss, upset, hurt and have to speak out. It's affecting my life, mental state and is a daily concern.
"My co stars, friends, family, myself, in fact anyone I am associated with, has been subjected to personal slurs, shaming, abuse, death threats, stalking, sharing of private information and vile, false narrative."
He added: "Recently, these false claims vary from me manipulating fans, being a closet-homosexual, trying to mislead or exhort fans for money and disregarding Covid advice. I’ve done none of the above.
"These bullies have created a false narrative, shared private information and abused my loved ones and I, consistently for the last six years on blogs and SM."
