Scottish actor Sam Heughan has commemorated World Outlander Day by sharing some exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from the film set.
The nation's favourite hunk, famed for his portrayal of Jamie Fraser in the Scottish fantasy series on Starz, took to his Instagram page to share some snaps.
Writing in the caption, Sam said: "Happy #worldoutlanderday !! Some bts from the last day shooting Season 6, with some great friends old and new! (Oh and our treat: a fish supper!)"

In the photos, Sam sports a rather different hairstyle, in the form of long ginger curls, and is seen sharing a couple of fish and chip suppers with various cast members on the set of Outlander.
Fans and co-stars alike flocked to the comments of Sam's post to share their thoughts on the exclusive post, with Gary Lamont (Evan Lindsay) writing: "I still hold a grudge that you got the last tartare sauce."
One Instagram user said: "Happy World Outlander Day!!! Hope you are all having fun on set today."
Another wrote: "Happy Outlander Day to You and the crew."
