It has been a long time coming, and it's now almost here, as the brand new sixth season of Outlander premiers next weekend.
It feels like a lifetime ago that Jamie and Claire Fraser were on our screens as filming was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But now, as it gets closer and closer, Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser, has shown his excitement for the launch by posing in a kilt on his social media.
Taking to his Instagram, he asked his 3.4 million followers if they were ready for the new season.
He smouldered at the camera whilst clutching a bottle of his own whisky brand, Sassenach.
He wrote: "2 weeks until @outlander_starz is on your screens! Got your @sassenachspirits and snacks ready?"
And fans exclaimed that they were more than ready in the comments.
One wrote: "Yes been saving up for a special occasion! Down with Droughtlander!!!"
Another quoted the series: "Je Suis Prest!" which means, "I am ready"
While one added: " I can't wait! It was my first time as a droughtlander!"
And another wrote: "So SO ready for Droughtlander to be over, Sam. Slaínte Mhath in advance."
The official launch date for the first episode of season six is March 6, but Starz gave Outlander fans the chance to join a virtual event that will give them access to Season 6 World Premiere Event.
The premiere of the first episode of the new series, titled ‘Echoes’, will be held on February 24, at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
Though only a very select audience will be able to attend in person, select few will be able to tune in online.
Those who weren't fortune enough to get tickets will still be able to watch the red carpet event which will be streamed on the Outlander Facebook page.
