The pair of pals are now exploring Graham's new home New Zealand, the land of the kiwis, sheep and Lord of the Rings, for the second season of the hit Starz show.

The food truck the pair visited, Stellar Kai posted a photo of the duo: "OMG OMG IM BEYOND EXCITED LOOK WHO HAD LUNCH AT STELLAR TODAY AND I WASNT THERE !"

Fans of the two were buzzing to see the actors together.

One commented: "Wow! So special to see the "lads" in NZ enjoying a flat white!...or an Americano (Sam) or a latte (Graham)."

Another said: "Omg - gutted I missed the awesome Sam & Graham as well as summer in Invercargill!"

"Men in Kilts season 2!!! Awesome," wrote another.

A fourth wrote: "Graham McTavish (rt) played Dwalin in the Hobbit; Sam Heughan (left) plays Jamie Fraser in Outlander. If you run into them filming Season 2 of Men in Kilts, say from me!"

One fan discussed: "This is exactly why Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish are filming the second Season of Men in Kilts in NZ. Because of the large influx of Scottish immigrants. And I think the focus is on where they settled. I was reading up on this and learned that Dunedin is Gaelic for Edinburgh."

"they were filming in Queenstown a few days ago and are in Invercargille, hence the photo I posted. I was considering going to Invercargill during my last visit (Oct-Dec 2019)because I wanted to go to Stewart Island. Still want to go but now I'd plan to spend time in Invercargill. The name must be of scottish origin," another wrote.

Season one saw the lads go on an epic adventure in a camper van in Scotland, exploring their heritage and meeting interesting Scots residents as they looked closely at subjects like Scottish clans and the Battle of Culloden.

When the pair announced the second season, Graham explained: "We are going to be enjoying ourselves in the footsteps of the Scottish immigrants who went there in the early 19th century and finding all things kiwi and why its the Scotland of the southern hemisphere."

As the Scotsmen are filming in New Zealand at the moment, an air date for the series of late 2022 or early 2023 could be expected.

Outlander fans will see Sam back on their screens on March 6 as the sixth instalment of the franchise airs.
