Outlander's Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish nominated for award alongside Oprah and Obama

Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish have been named for an award alongside Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey.

Both stars of the historical drama series have been nominated at the Audie Awards this year which is set to take place on March 4 with the awards celebrating the best titles in audio publishing and spoken-word entertainment, honouring a varied group of actors, musicians, and politicians, according to Entertainment Weekly (EW).

Taking to Twitter, the Scottish actor said how proud he was of making it to the finals.

EW exclusively revealed the list ahead of the show and fans could not be happier.

One said: "Well deserved…..I loved the narration!"

Another added: "Congrats Sam and @grahammctavish!!! Of course this isn’t shocking news! I honestly alternate listening to both of your books every morning before work. My family has gotten used to hearing your voices coming from the bathroom and no longer as questions."

A third tweeted: "Congratulations to both Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish. They are so deserving. If you can take an audio book and listen to it more than a few times, it's definitely a winner."
