Outlander author and self-confessed lover of Scotland, Diana Gabaldon, will be bringing the story of Claire and Jamie Fraser to Edinburgh's International Book Festival this year.
Diana will be hosting a talk dedicated to the Scottish fantasy series in the capital during the popular literary festival, reports the Scottish Daily Express. The show is titled 'The Outlander Phenomenon', and will take place at Central hall on Tuesday August 23 2022.

This Edinburgh appearance will be Diana's first at the festival since 2014, as she brings the joy of Outlander to the people of the capital. Tickets are on sale here, and are £14 per seat.
The event will also be streamed online for those who may not be able to make it to Edinburgh. Prices for the online section start at just £12 per ticket.

Outlander was first published back in 1991 by Diana, and it has gone on to become one of the best-selling book series of all time. Inspiring the Starz TV show by the same name, the series starring Scottish hunk Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe has become a worldwide phenomenon.
There are now nine books that complete the Outlander series, with the latest title Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone, and the sixth season of Outlander planning to air in Summer of this year. This event planned in Edinburgh is sure to be exciting, and fans may even get the chance to hear some secrets on the new season being filmed in Scotland right now.
Outlander is available to watch in the UK on Starz Player. The sixth season of the show will air on the same channel in summer 2022.
