When the weather's warm there is nothing quite like plunging into an outdoor pool or running around in a water park to keep the kids cool.
We all now how children love the opportunity to have a good splash around and it's often fun for all the family.
Thankfully, there are plenty of places where we can all go to do just that.
From paddling pools, to swimming pools and inflatable water parks there's something for kids of all ages - and adults.
Here's our round-up of the all the great places you could visit this weekend and for the rest of Summer in and around Bristol.
If you absolutely cannot drag extremely warm self to any of these, you could always cool off in the city centre's The Fountains or Harbourside's Millennium Square. Splash away.
Clifton Lido
This lovely Victorian outdoor pool is just what everyone needs on a Summer's day. Tucked away in the heart of Clifton, it is just a 10 minute drive from the city centre.
There is an outdoor pool and plenty of luxuries for all the family to enjoy including a sauna, outdoor hot tub and bar and restaurant area.
If your looking for a stylish retreat with the family this could be the place for you.

Cotswold Country Park and Beach (featuring inflatable water park!)
Feel like heading a short distance out of Bristol today in the sweltering sunshine? Well, look no further than Cotswold Country Park and Beach.
This perfect location really does have it all for all the family.
There is a small beach, with fresh play sand and a gentle sloping bay where you can splash and swim.
There are boats to hire and on the top lake there is the WiBit Inflatable course plus paddleboards available to hire.
Around the lakes are paths and walkways, most of which are pushchair friendly. There's also areas for barbecues and a huge new play area.
This is picnic heaven but if you don't fancy warm, soggy sandwiches then you can head on over to their pizzeria or coffee shop where there are also plenty of ice creams on sale.
Best of all, most of the areas are dog friendly.

Portishead Open Air Pool
What a great way to spend your day in Portishead Open Air Pool.
The 33 metre heated pool at the Lakeground in Portishead even has views of the Bristol Channel from its sun terrace. There's even a paddling pool for toddlers and a cafe which offers up an array for Fairtrade coffee, cakes and locally made sandwiches.
Oh, and they heat their pool with green energy.

Easton Leisure Centre
If you prefer water play of the indoor variety then head down to Easton Leisure Centre.
Just a hop, skip and a jump away from the centre it is easily accessible to hundreds of Bristolians. You can let the kids go wild in the 25-metre pool and have them occupied for hours with the water slides.
There is also a large sports hall with activities if you fancy drying off and playing from football or badminton.

Thornbury Leisure Centre
This activity centre really is an all-in-one for the whole family. There are - of course - swimming pools.
But, there is also racquet sport such as badminton or table tennis and even a creche for the little ones.
There is also an on site restaurant and parking.

Weston-super-Mare's Water Adventure Play Park
Opening in 2010, this water park has been a must-visit Summertime attraction for almost a decade.
The location includes a Splash Pad a Wooden Play Equipment area and is open from 9.30am until 6pm.
Run by the council, there is a seasonal charge of £2.50 for children aged between one and 16-years-old.
