It's a week since the takeover of Chelsea by the Todd Boehly-led consortium was completed and now all the focus is on what the club will do in the summer transfer window, which officially opens on Friday.
There are big decisions for Thomas Tuchel to make across his squad with replacements for Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger required, the futures of Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso uncertain amid interest from Barcelona, and the growing problem that is Romelu Lukaku.
"We are rebuilding, not improving, the squad [this summer]," Tuchel admitted after Chelsea wrapped their 2021/22 Premier League campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory over Watford at Stamford Bridge. "We are rebuilding. This is always challenging but we are up for the challenge.

"It will be very challenging to make up for the disadvantage [of having had to operate under sanctions for three months], given the situation of the other two teams: City and Liverpool, who are already improving the squad and set one benchmark after the other in all aspects of the game."
Chelsea will look to improve their squad and there remains confidence that a deal for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde will be completed this month. The Blues are also in talks with Ousmane Dembele, who is set to leave Barcelona on a free transfer, but not contract has yet to be agreed.
