Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen confirms split from husband of 22 years

Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has confirmed she has split from her husband of 22 years Clive Owen.

The 47-year-old shepherdess took to social media to confirm that the pair had parted ways.

The former couple, who share nine children together, also vowed to continue co-parenting as well as running their family farm.

Sharing the personal update with her social media followers, Owen wrote: “Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.”

She added: “This hasn’t been easy, but we both believe it’s the right choice for the future of our family.

“Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children.

“We would like to thank everyone for their support and would that the media please respect our privacy as we work through this difficult time.”

The statement was signed off by both Mr and Mrs Owen.

The couple has been married since 2000 after meeting for the first time five years prior.

They shot to fame when their family appeared on the hit Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm in 2018.

The documentary show based around their rural home has spanned five seasons so far, however, there has been no announcement about the series being renewed.

The couple had previously faced rumours about their relationship after Owen was called out for not sharing many images of her husband on social media.

Owen also addressed her romance when chatting to Lorraine after reports emerged she had been living at a separate property last year.

“There’s always a down side. Of course you’ve had that attention on your life. And that’s great. But then when things aren’t going that well, it can be quite difficult,” Owen said about the show.

When asked how she handles this, Owen said: “Well it is. You have your difficult moments. But you have to take the rough with the smooth.”

She later also added: “In other words; ‘Get on with it’. Ignore it”
