Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen takes off wedding ring four months on from marriage split

Amanda Owen appeared on TV earlier today [October 3] without her wedding ring on her left hand.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess, 48, reflected on her split from husband Clive Owen as she chatted to Steph McGovern on Channel 4 show Steph's Packed Lunch - admitting she finds being single after 22-years with her estranged partner a 'weird situation' but is on good terms with her soon-to-be ex-husband.

Amanda and her estranged husband Clive are parents to nine children together who, in descending order of age, are Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmie, and Nancy. The former couple first struck up a romance back in 1995, when Amanda visited Clive's farm in Ravenseat to ask for help.

The pair went on to tie the knot and welcome their nine children into the world together, with their family life documented for the hugely successful Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm, but shocked fans earlier this year when Amanda addressed speculation about their relationship and subsequently confirmed they had split.

She wrote, in a joint statement shared in June this year: "Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.

"This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family."

The statement continued: "Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children."

Speaking on Steph's Packed Lunch today, Amanda confessed being separated from Clive after over two decades together was "a weird situation", before adding: "But we’re actually all just fine, just getting on with it."

The confirmation of Amanda and Clive's split in June came after months of rumours and speculation that the couple were having a rocky time in their marriage for most of this year.

Shepherdess Amanda appeared on ITV morning show Lorraine to address the speculation in December last year, when at the time, there had been reports for weeks which suggested that the couple were on the rocks and that Amanda had been living away from Ravenseat Farm in a separate rented property as they reviewed their future together.

Speculation about the former couple's marriage began late last year (Channel 5)

Lorraine Kelly asked Amanda last year: "The show is lovely. And people have got this thing of they feel they know you and have got to know the children, the animals …

"There’s always a down side. Of course you’ve had that attention on your life. And that’s great.

"But then when things aren’t going that well, it can be quite difficult.

"How do you deal with that? When it’s quite difficult?”

Amanda replied: "Well it is. You have your difficult moments. But you have to take the rough with the smooth.

Amanda opened up about life-post split on the ITV show (ITV)

Catching up again with Lorraine viewers once again last week, the Channel 5 star admitted the split had been tough with cameras around, as the estranged couple continue to film their popular series despite ending their marriage.

"It is really tough and it is a really difficult aspect of it to get across," Amanda admitted to Christine Lampard on the ITV show.

"But when you do reality [TV] it has to be just that. That means it covers the ups and downs and that can be on any level."

"Life carries on on the farm," she explained. "Obviously there is a whole raft of things to do – nine children, a whole heap of animals.

"We are just working away same as before.

"Because at the end of the day our priority remains, of course, to keep everything going. There you go, that’s how it is."
