Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen says goodbye to kids in 'stressful' new series

Super shepherds Amanda Owen and her husband Clive return to Our Yorkshire Farm next week along with their nine kids.

However a trailer for the show Amanda reveals the new series proves "stressful" for the couple, who have to say goodbye to their children as they return to school.

In a promo for the Channel 5 programme, the narrator says: “With a new year comes new adventures.”

The clip features footage of the farming family dealing with a load of snow on the farm and the parents waving goodbye to their brood.

Amanda announces: “Homeschooling all the way,” before adding: “It has snowed a lot."

However after lockdown restrictions ease, the family prepare for their children to return to school.

“New beginnings and new surprises,” the narrator continues as Clive says goodbye to some of his kids.

He says: “It’s going to be funny without you,” while his daughters Clemmy and Nancy hug one another.

In another clip Amanda watches on as two of her daughters deliver a lamb.

“That was a bit stressful,” she comments before adding: “Teamwork…”

“Makes the dream work,” Nancy chips in as the family round up their flock.

Amanda, 47, took to Twitter on Tuesday to retweet a post from Channel 5 teasing the new series.

The shepherdess captioned the post: "I have SOOOOOOO much catching up to do.

"It’s all been happening but firstly and most importantly I must announce that there’s a new series of Our Yorkshire Farm starting next week on @channel5_tv #yorkshire #OurYorkshireFarm #channel5."

The mum-of-nine juggles motherhood with her 2,000 acre farm home Ravenseat, which comes complete with a flock of over 1,000 sheep.

She previously told The Mirror she was daunted by the task of suddenly having to homeschool their children due to the country's lockdown.

The Yorkshire lass found herself having to juggle farm life whilst also trying to educate her brood.

"Everyone's situation is unique and for me, of course homeschooling brought it's own problems," she said when discussing the past year.

"We didn't have enough technology for everyone to be sitting down at a laptop from 9am until 3pm and, to be honest with you, it wasn't something I thought was particularly healthy anyway," she went on to reveal.

The Channel 5 star is mother to nine children with her husband Clive - Raven, 20, Reuben, 17, Miles, 15, Edith, 12, Violet, 10, Sidney, nine, Annas, seven, Clemmy, five, and four-year-old Nancy.

The new series of Our Yorkshire Farm comes just weeks after the daughter of Amanda's husband Clive claimed she has been cut off from her family.

Rosie has spoken out about her famous family, saying her bond with her dad and stepmother Amanda is irreparable.

She has said the relationship is so strained she can't even face driving past their farm in the Yorkshire Dales.

Rosie told The Sun : "Millions tune in to see this idyllic farm on the TV but they don’t know the heartache behind it."

Our Yorkshire Farms returns on Tuesday 5 October at 9pm on Channel 5.
