Sony SRS-XB100 Bluetooth Speaker, $48 (was $60) at Amazon
Coming in at the size of an average human fist and smaller than a soda can, Sony's SRS-XB100 is a Bluetooth speaker that won't weigh you down. You can easily carry it by hand, attach it to handlebars or a backpack with the included carabiner, or toss it in a bag. It's entirely waterproof and dust-proof, which means it can be brought to the beach, on a hike, survive a dip in the pool, or a trip to a spa.
Sony rates the battery life on XB100 to 16 hours of use, and in our testing, it lasted for multiple days of listening. When it comes time to recharge, you'll turn it in via the USB-C port, and Sony includes a short cable in the box.
The sound quality is most important here, though; for the sheer size, it doesn't disappoint. At just shy of 4 inches tall, Sony's packed a full range speaker and passive radiator inside that work together for a full, well-balanced mix that produces a tremendous amount of bass.
