We are well in sight of the weekend and that means it is one of the busiest days for me as the ECHO's weekend editor.
Articles start coming together as we put together a collection of stories for our readers across Saturday and Sunday. Coming up this weekend I know I am excited for you all to hear from a number of communities and groups in Merseyside that it is a privilege for the ECHO to give a voice to.
This weekend, we will hear from choir that has been singing for more than 60 years, the people living by the remnants of the Churchill flyover and people's thoughts on Merseyside's 'dream home destination'. But until then, here are some of the big stories from this morning.

Parking row's war of words
Following on from our political editor's exclusive story about city councillors using a "back door" route to have parking tickets cancelled, Liam Thorp has written about the blame game going on. The names of 14 politicians appeared on a list of those who had their tickets rescinded without going through the formal process, you can read about the latest update here.
Mum loses her nose
Katie Froggatt was told she had sinusitis when she went to the doctor complaining of pain in her nose. But when it persisted after months of antibiotics, she was given a very different diagnosis which meant she needed her nose removed.

Racist drinker left with serious injuries
And yesterday our court reporter sat in on a case about a doorman who left a drinker with serious injuries after he was subjected to vile racist abuse. Damaras Gordon initially threw the man out of the bar where he was working due to his rowdy behaviour and you can read what happened next here.

Kerry Katona, originally from Warrington, has apologised to Love Island star Molly-Mae after she wrote about her in her OK! Magazine column. Kerry's apology comes during a wave a criticism Molly-Mae has received since giving birth and raises an important point about the amount of undue stress we can plan on new mums and their parenting decisions.
