Good Afternoon I hope the first day of March is treating you well.
Some good news came earlier this afternoon after an unidentified saviour swooped in on the 11th hour to save the day the Oxton flat of Ron Gittens, which he transformed into a spectacular palace of art. More on this story is to come in the ECHO later on today, but drinks will no doubt be clinked by his niece Jan and the team who were so desperate to preserve Ron's legacy.
Elsewhere, a teacher who let a four year old boy leave school without any supervision will not be punished for the debacle, and a barmaid subjected to a horrifying attack has revealed the damage done by her assailant.
No slap on the wrist for naughty teacher
Teacher Evangeline Edwin will not be punished for allowing a four year old boy to leave school alone before he was found half a mile away on his own after crossing a series of main roads. Edwin said she believed she had released the boy into the care of an adult.
A regulatory panel has said they were not convinced her actions constituted any behaviour that would bring the teaching profession into disrepute and so she was let off.
Barmaid 'permanently disfigured' after woman bites her ear off
The victim of Gemma Rowlands, who made headlines yesterday after being jailed for biting a barmaid's ear off, has shown the grim damage left from the attack. Michelle Thomas was off duty at the Fireman's Arms in Birkenhead and had asked Rowlands and her boyfriend to leave before she "went for" her.
